Hello world!

I started this blog because I have been meaning to journal some of my thoughts and feelings for some time now.  The past 15 months or so have been a difficult time for me, and I have struggled with where to put my emotions.  I wrote a somewhat depressing sounding post the other day on Facebook, and a friend encouraged me to start a blog.  Many of my friends and family members are in different ways both a source of energy and inspiration for me, as well as — through nobody’s fault but my own — a source of frustration.  Writing down my frustrations and disappointments is my way of taking responsibility for them, not pointing a finger at other people.  The words have been pouring out today, and naturally it’s therapeutic.  Some of the posts on this blog are actually copy and paste reprints of posts I made to my FB profile in the past, but most of it is new.  Although in some way I must be more or less asking for attention by blogging, my intent is that I am writing for myself.

Welcome to the blogging world! Writing is definitely a great outlet for me. And I definitely try to “vent,” rather than whine. You do need to let it out, though! It’s not healthy to stuff your feelings!
