51 State

I got this game for Christmas from my niece in the family gift exchange, and it’s really good.  It’s a card-driven, resource/worker production game.  With the cards, it has similarities to Dominion, but I like it even better than that so far.  It’s for 1-4 players, and each player represents a “faction” with differing strengths in terms of which resource they produce most easily — weapons, fuel, scrap metal, or building material.  It has solo play rules created by the game designer, and it’s a good way to learn the game and the card interactions.  In a normal 2-4 player game, there is also a card draft mechanic.  Thumbs up for 51st State!
