Lobster season!

I admit I do not eat lobster very often.  When I’ve tried it before, I liked  it, but not as much as prawns, clams, crab, and other seafood.  Even so, when I got an email from the Walnut Creek Yacht Club about their lobster specials in January, I started craving it.  I made a reservation for dinner and decided to take Lara on another father-daughter night out.  She was not displeased when I told her the news!

Tonight, Lara experienced her first lobster dinner.  We had a choice of grilled or boiled, and we both chose grilled.  Each pound-and-a-quarter lobster came with fries (really good, garlicky fries) and cole slaw.  Yum!

Maybe I never had great lobster before, but this was the best I’ve ever tasted!

Lara loved it, too.  The whole meal was perfect.

I usually get a sweet tooth after seafood (and  asian food), and we both wanted chocolate cake, so we stopped at a store on the way home and bought some cake to share with everybody.

Karen and Erik don’t like shellfish, so they didn’t mind missing out on our dinner, but they appreciated the dessert!
