some days I’m just lucky I guess

After working my butt off the last two days, I was pretty tired today and lucked out by having an easy day at the office.  Both bosses were out all morning at meetings, and I was able to relax a bit.  I did get work done, but there was no real pressure.  As a result, I was able to enjoy a nice long lunch with two long-time friends!  I’m  always super-hungry when I ride my bike to work, and Sargam’s all-you-can-eat lunch buffet never disappoints.  I feel  fortunate that just when I need it, occasionally I catch a break.  Tomorrow will be a nice change of pace — site visit to a charter school for which we are trying to do a deal.  It will be more fun for me than being stuck in the office all day…

This evening held a pleasant surprise as well:  our Netflix movie, Sarah’s Key, was quite good.  It was sad but powerful and well done.  Karen says the book was very good and that the movie closely followed the story line, so I may want to read that at some point.
