Anybody have any ideas what I should write about? Is anybody even reading this?

You should write about what YOU want to write about. Some days I write every day. Sometimes, only once in a week. 🙂
good point, and thank you, I think I really do need feedback right now about this… one thing I want to write about is relationships (not because I’m some expert, just that people are interesting), but I would want it to be more interactive with give and take, and for that I need more followers. hmmm. I should start a separate blog for that… I don’t want it to be all about me, but of course the ideas I originate will naturally come from my own epxeriences. again, more feedback from followers would be ideal, but I don’t know how to make that happen, so we shall see…
You should write about anything and everything that you want. If you are looking for followers, then think about where you are posting. I get between 200 and 600 views on my blog per day. But I also cross-post on Facebook (2,000 friends) and Twitter (1,260 followers), tumblr and other social media sites. If you are writing for other people, then blogging will be a very unsatisfactory outlet for you. Even with all of those views each day, I only occasionally get a comment. And that’s ok with me. If you want to encourage comments, you need to post content that moves people, then ask questions so they will leave you a comment.
Again, very good advice that all makes perfect sense. I realize after thinking on it that I started out writing basically for myself and am mostly happy to continue doing just that. So I think I’ll just set aside the notion of thinking about gaining more followers. If that is meant to be, maybe it will happen in the future, but it’s not truly a goal of mine. Of course, like anyone else I like getting some attention about what I’m doing. The occasional comments I get about this blog are much appreciated!
